3D printing was so awesome! I have seen several postings and videos about it throughout the internet but never thought I would see one in person so soon, let alone make something with the printer. The only thing I would say I did not like was how long it took to make certain objects some could take 30 minutes some up to several hours. Luckily mine only took about 45 minutes. I hope to use more 3D printing in the future.

Tpack
After reading the TPACK which stands for Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge which seems like it is a little difficult to grasp at first. It contains three knowledge areas which is technological, content, and pedagogical and it looks at how they can work together to increase student motivation and how to make the students more knowledgeable through certain learning processes.
Many students learn totally different. For instance me, I learn much better through visual and hands on. I've had a lot of teachers who use no technology what so ever in their classroom and it is just straight out of the book which I have a harder time learning that way. I don't like just reading out of a book to get knowledge. I like to see visuals and key points of what I am trying to understand.
In my opinion I think younger kids should start out using tablets in grade school. Young kids want a tablet so if they can have a tablet while going to school and use it while in school they will have a much enjoyable time learning. On tablets they have visuals you ca learn from they have the books on the tablet. I think it will be expensive but if kids will come to school and have fun while learning why not? Although I do know not every school district could even afford to think about doing this for example teachers in Oklahoma are having to take a pay cuts. It is not looking for good for teachers and students in Oklahoma at the moment.
I do think if school districts can afford spending more money for new technology i think it will be very beneficial in the long run for the teachers, students and parents.

technology
Technology is growing so fast it seems these days. I think Francesco Mondada creation is very creative using a robotic toybox to roam around a child's room until it sees a toy laying on the floor then wiggles and flashes to get the child's attention to pick the toy back in the toy box.
It is kinda fascinating and scary all at the same time how fast technology is growing. It was just less than 8 years ago I did not know what an iPhone was and now I can not live without mine.
Although if technology is used the wrong way or it gets into the wrong persons hands that is when it can get scary.
I think for teachers, technology is a great thing. It is a way to get the kids involved. Kids these days hate to be without their tablet, or iPad. So when you have that type of technology in the classroom they will be more than likely to be more involved and want to learn rather then when I was in school and we had to use the old fashioned green chalk board. I sure do not miss those days!
